Jack from Ohio Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 The Modernized e-File system is experiencing delays in generating acknowledgements that requires the IRS to bring the production system down for a period of time. Effective at 7:00 pm, Eastern tonight, please refrain from accessing the MeF production system to transmit submissions, get acknowledgements, retrieve state submissions, send state acknowledgements or submit any other service requests. We will issue a QuickAlert when the MeF production system is operational again and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused. Quote

I resynced with the EFC several times and this efile seems to be lost in the system somewhere. It was transmitted about the same time as the outage started. It shows transmitted on atx's side. Quote

IRS says to resubmit but ATX wont let me as it is in transmitted status so i duplicated the return and recreated the efile and submitted - will let you kow. Otherwise I will have to paper file. Quote

I'm having the same problem, I have the DCN from the IRS but have not gotten an acceptance or rejected status yet. This return has Dep. and sch. E OOOOPS! The return had form 8582 which is delayed till March. Quote
norcalea Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 I called ATX and they are suppossed to due a reset on this return within 72 hours. Mine is a super vanilla return nothing fancy. I will wait until Tuesday and then if not resolved paper file. The IRS does not have it..ATX shows it as transmitted. Quote
