hdl Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 I just came from the office . I signed on to myatx.com.Got a mmessage about resetting password. Here's the problem===it asked for an answer to a secret question----Where was your first job? I really don't rember ATX asking for ansers to secret questions. All I rember is that you input your old password and created a new password. Called support and hold time is greater than one hour, Was is my next step? Quote
Lion EA Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Where WAS your first job? Don't know ATX, but sometimes you can click to get a different question. Or if it's a new ATX system, maybe it's asking you for information, asking you to set up a secret question and your answer, asking you to tell ATX the answer to store now for future use... Quote
mcb39 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 It is extra security that doesn't come up often, but the answers were input a long time ago to a series of questions. Quote
joanmcq Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 My password finally stabilized; I was resetting passwords every time I logged in for about a month. Last two times I got to use the same password, yay! Good thing I know where my first job was.... Quote
rich Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 Same thing happened to me last week, account locked out, but I never had set any password on my stand alone computer. Tech asked me to type admin in lower caps, leave password input blank and on next screen input code for the atx tax software I got in mail during the beginning of season then I get the option to reset the password.
