BulldogTom Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 I don't even know if "wierder" is a word, but it perfectly describes this year. My son had to file a tax return for the first time ever this year. He was getting a very small refund from a part time job. We filed his return on Feb 4th, his check showed up in our mailbox today. Still have clients from Jan waiting on their direct deposit. wierder and wierder every day. Tom Hollister, CA Quote
mcb39 Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 i before e, except after c, or when sounding like a, as in neighbor and weigh. EXCEPTIONS: Neither leisure foreighner seized the WEIRD heights. (This is so drilled into my head from 8 years at a Parochial grade school. We are all just getting weirder and weirder. Quote
jainen Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 >>i before e<< According to the Urban Dictionary at http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wierd. "Not a spelling mistake but the hybridisation of the two words weird and wired. Used when someone is behaving like a crazu, due to the influence of restricted substances." Quote
GeneInAlabama Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 >>i before e, except after c, or when sounding like a, as in neighbor and weigh. Two plus two always equals four - at least it did unitl I took engineering in college, and found out that 2 plus 2 euals anywhere between 3 and 5. 2.0 plus 2.0 equals anywhere between 3.9 and 4.1. 2.00 plus 2.00 equals anywhere between 3.99 and 4.01. You can't win. 1 Quote
Chowdahead Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 I have a client whose daughter (single, no dependents) received her check faster by mail than her mother (HH) by direct deposit. Both were filed Feb. 1. I know this because the mother called me and she was not happy. Quote
imjulier Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 I got my own direct deposit within a week so no probelms here. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Has everyone figured out to tell your clients that refund times are STRICTLY in the hands of the IRS? If the times are not fast enough for them, I refer then to the government page listing all the Senators and Congressmen for the client to call or write to. Quote

Proof that is is getting wierder and wieirder is that I can't spell wierder - if it even is a word? That is how bad this tax season is. And eye haited inglish class, so i beacame a 'countent.
