taxcrazed Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 We are trying to import data to K-1 detail. We exported the detail sheet to a csv file, populated the data and saved it. Now we are importing that sheet to Form K-1 detail tab. The import feature is only allowing us to bring in only certain columns such as name address etc. All our K-1 information is specially allocated. We need to import distribution, contributions, interest income etc - why isnt the program allowing us to do this? Is there an override feature or unprotect feature similar to last year. We cannot be typing in all the partner's numbers. Any one who can help? We do not want to wait 5 hours for support on the phone. Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 I have never tried to do anything more esoteric than importing K-1 data from one return i completed to another return. You might have better luck posting your question in the General Chat section - this section is for help with the chat site itself. Good luck Quote

Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 anyone have success with importing k-1 data? I am at 12.10, all forms are up to date. Tried to import 1120S data into a 1040 and that option is not 'live'. Thaks, Lynn Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 have learned that this feature has been turned off since there were performance issues when importing more than one column of data. The programmers are working on this and expect to have it included in the 12.11 update due out next Thursday. Lynn 1 Quote
