neilbrink Posted February 14, 2013 Author Report Posted February 14, 2013 I still do not have this resolved. I have deleted and refiled 12 times now. Here is the latest Reject code description: "The SML data has failed schema validation. cvc.complex-type.2.4.d. Invalid content was found starting with element 'Explanation'. No child element is expected at this point." "/efile:Return{1}/efile:ReturnData{1}/efile:DepreciationComputation{1}/efile:Explanation{2} Value: Any ideas? Quote
joanmcq Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Click on the red box at the bottom of the explanation of the code, and it should take you to the field with the error. The x000-005 errors relate to the wrong type of character in a field, or a field empty that needs to be filled in, like your name in the 3rd party designee area. Quote
North Idaho Rich Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 I had a reject that took a while to find the problem. I put a lower case d for a 401k on a W-2 when it calls for a capital D. The reject said "d" was not a acceptable field entry or something. I use all caps in the program but out of the program, not so much. Hard to remember to switch back sometimes. Quote
Lee B Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Sometimes it's helpful to call the IRS eservices hotline and get a plain english explanation Quote
