Randall Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 When I close ATX, I sometimes get a popup message that says the program has stopped and there's the option to close the program or have Windows scan for troubleshooting. It's the message that appears when a program stops working on its own. But this is happening when I am actually closing the program. I suppose it does no harm since I'm closing it anyway. Anyone else seeing this? Quote
rfassett Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 I have not had this issue with ATX, or any program for that matter for quite some time. It used to have something to do with not allowing the file you were working in to completely close before trying to close the program. If you are not doing so now, try waiting several seconds after closing a return before you close the program. Quote
FedupCPA Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 It has something to do with the 12.7 update. I just had to uninstall the program, reinstall the program and then the updates from the support site. No crashing, but still slow to load a return, and I lost all the data for the returns that I have already completed. Thankfully I've not done many yet, but after tax season I will have to recreate those clients. The customer support guy was nice, and helpful, but basically a corporate apologist telling me that we will all look back on this and laugh. I don't think they will be laughing so hard when we all line up to file a class action lawsuit against them. Quote
