mrichman333 Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Ok I’m in NJ, I have a client with a NJ,NJ and PA W2. I know NJ and NY So TRX PA return seems to not be working or I’m doing something wrong. He is a PY PA resident 08/01 -12/31/2012 Had PA wages of $8,508 and state withholding of $261 First the program showed “0” on every line Then I did something and the wages appeared. The return shows tax line 12 $261 and line 13 tax withheld $261 It just don’t trust that. Have you had issues with PA returns? Thanks Mary Quote

Remember to include inerest, dividends, cap gains (not losses), other income, no iras/pensions. See instructions for form PA-40 here. http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/personal_income_tax/14692 Also a LOCAL taxing authority tax return is required, based on where primary residence is located (pro rated for time in Pa.). Last time I checked TRX didn not have the local taxing authority form. You can use a generic form for the local. You may get more infor here on the locals. http://www.hab-inc.com/ and/or here: http://www.keystonecollects.com/ Quote
mrichman333 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Report Posted February 8, 2013 I think TRX being under pressure got all the states uploaded even though they are not working right. What a coincidence that all the states got finished on the same day. Quote

Crank Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Thank you. TRX dosn't the school district codes either your welcome. the school codes are in the pa-40 instructions. You will also need a PSD code for the local. The taxpayer may have received a local form in the mail with the required info. check the docs or ask if they have it...much easier Quote
