joanmcq Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Can we please keep the phone numbers for ATX somewhere on this website since I've been locked out of my *&^%ing account and the only number I seem to have is for Taxwise sales???? I am really reallly really pissed off right now and If I can't get through I will be even more pissed off. Quote
joanmcq Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Posted January 26, 2008 Like, all of you looking at this does anyone have the number???? Quote
Monkeyman Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Hi joanmcq, The technical support number has always been 1-800-638-8291 in the past. I don't know if they have switched over to being open on Saturdays or not. Monkeyman Quote
joanmcq Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Posted January 26, 2008 Yeah, I'm on hold. I've always gotten the number off the website if I needed it or off the materials sent. They didn't send it this year. Need to put it in my PDA Quote
JRS Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 When I was locked out of my account, they finally contacted me after one week. Caller ID showed this number from Universal Tax - 706-290-7000. Quote
taxwoman Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 800-638-8291 That is the correct number. However, it's tough to know if you are really talking to an ATX tech person or a TaxWise tech person. Quote
HV Ken Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 After an e-mail to customer support, I received this as part of the e-mail reply: If you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Support Department at 1-800-638-8291. ATX Tip: Tax Season support hours of operation are: 8AM - 10PM Monday through Friday 9AM - 5PM on Saturdays. Now getting a customer support rep that knows more than how to spell ATX - that is another story. Quote
jasdlm Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I'm locked out of my account, also, and the 800 number is just constantly busy. Joanmcq, did you get any help? If so, is it by chance a universal fix that you could share? Thanks. jas Quote
Booger Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I'd like to help you, but I don't know how to type the number in Pakastani. Booger Quote
joanmcq Posted January 28, 2008 Author Report Posted January 28, 2008 I got through. If you reset the password, they tell you to use your 20 digit installation code. Trouble is, the code they reset it too may not be your actual code you got to install the software. The one I had to enter was 2 digits off from the installation code that came with the software. The tech person said the codes apparently change every time you call in !!!!! I said, how are you supposed to know the code then? She didn't know. Only took about 5 or 10 minutes on hold though. joanmcq Posted January 28, 2008 Author Report Posted January 28, 2008 Oh, and the 'admin' user name is now in CAPS. Quote
Mel in Hawaii Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Maybe they don't realize that part of the installation code is actually random and then that computes into the check digits along with the rest.. Quote
jasdlm Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Thanks! I'm going to give it a try. Quote
kcjenkins Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 The time I had to use it, I went back to the code on the shipping invoice that came with the first disk, and it worked, even tho I had gotten a later code. Try it, it may work. The main thing that makes no sense is that they tell you to use 'admin' when in fact, you must use 'ADMIN'. You would think that they could at least get that right. Quote
TAXBILLY Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 I'm locked out too. Another headache to take care of this morning! taxbilly Quote
