Janitor Bob Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 One thing I have found with ATX 2012.....If you leave it up and running for too long....say more than 5 hours, you start to get annoying problems and sometimes crashes/shut downs. Once you close the program and re-open it, it usually behaves better....even more so if you sut down the whole PC and re-start.....memory leak somewhere. Quote
rfassett Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Well, I have had mine open since about 10:00 this morning and so far so good - and I am working on my sixth return. One had three schedule C's, two were mult-state. But to your point about the memory leak - I understand ATX is posting an update Tuesday, I believe, that addresses some of the memory issues. (See the ATX blog for further info.) Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 The new program seems to be a system resources hog. Hopefully the next updates will remedy some of that. When programs are opened and closed, or functions inside the program are opened and closed, small bits of the system resources are not available till the next reboot. I reboot at lunch, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 just to eliminate those things. This is a characteristic of Windows. Quote
