michaelmars Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 this is a great forum and i will still be around but i made the switch to Proseries on Wed. Just waiting for my conversion files to come back. 10,000 topics is huge, this forum really filled a void, stayed open and professional and friendly for years. -Michael. 2 Quote
Catherine Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 Good luck with ProSeries. I used it years ago in a colleague's office (helping out under special circumstances) and must say I detested it thoroughly. Stick around here; tax issues are tax issues! Catherine 1 Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 Glad you are sticking with us even though leaving ATX. I am sure you are not the first to leave this year, and you probably won't be the last! Let us know how ProSeries works out for you. Quote
kcjenkins Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Yes, remember that in another week or two, the software issues will taper off, and this board will be mostly tax questions. You are all welcome here, no matter what software you use. Quote
Janitor Bob Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Seriously.....during tax season, this board is my family...folks on here have heard all about my life struggles, helped me with tax issues, and just listed to me rant. Sometimes it just helps to know that there are others dealing with the same issues. on a side note.....one more post and I think i get another dot and a different title. Party at my place tonight. 1 Quote
SCL Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 mm...i believe you have other, high profile (expensive) tax programs in your business mix. have you decided to replace your low rent program (atx) with proseries? i hope you stick around the alt atx board. Quote
michaelmars Posted February 5, 2013 Author Report Posted February 5, 2013 we used pro fx for many years but switched to lacerte 2 years ago. Lacerte wanted $6-9,000 just to add me as a second office here for my personal clients. Proseries cost me $2,000 for the highest program and they locked the price for 5 years. Quote
SCL Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 bye bye, mm. i always liked how your "NEW YORK CITY!" smarts was tempered with down to earth insights. Quote
michaelmars Posted February 7, 2013 Author Report Posted February 7, 2013 THANKS SCL but i am not leaving the board, just leaving atx for this year at least. 1 Quote
