I have several clients that the IRS has issued a (6) digit IP PIN due to identity theft. My question is:

If ATX will only accept 5 numbers in the Taxpayer pin box on the 1040 EF Info form, where do I put the IRS issued IP PIN with 6 digits?

When I e-file the return I get an erro message IND-181 requesting for the IRS PIN.

IP PIN and Taxpayer PIN are two different items. The IP PIN which is 6 digits has a special entry field. In TW it is at the end of 1040 page 1.
