HV Ken Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 I have a client who should be ready to finish. She qualifies for the additional child tax credit, but I am unable to add Form 8812 into the return, even though it says it is installed. I am at the latest program version and all my forms are up to date. Is anyone else seeing this? Or are others having success with this? I even tried deleting the return and starting over to no avail. mcb39 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Did you try jumping to it from the Additional Child Tax Credit line of the 1040. I have no clue if that will work for you, but sometimes we think a client qualifies for something and they don't. Quote
North Idaho Rich Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 The link below worked for me and a few others I believe before the 12.5 update. I would have thought this issue would have been fixed in 12.5 but one never knows Allow "show hidden files" in windows explorer first. Worked on a Win 7 stand alone system. Unsure if it works in others... Quote
Robin Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Form appeared automatically for me. Due to -0- tax liability, additional credit of $1000 for 1 child popped up via form 8812. Win 7 64 stand alone 12.5 update Quote
