Janitor Bob Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 I have a return where client is filing as HOH. AGI is $42765. contributes $1461 to his 401k so receives a Retirement Savings Contribution Credit of $146 ($1461 x .1). Everything calculates on the 8880 and flows to the 1040 correctly. However, the error check is stating the following error: 1040 Error Max AGI when claiming Credit for Retirement Savings Contribution cannot exceed $42375. This is NOT true...when filing as HOH, the max AGI is $43125. I would hate for this error to prevent e-filing when the times comes to actually transmit. Quote
Janitor Bob Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Posted January 23, 2013 I think $42,375 is the 2011 limit for HOH....not 2012....I hope this is fixed before it stops me from e-filing. Quote
MN2V Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Send an e-mail to customer support to get their attention. I am having an issue with return check for Sch C and line for SE health insurance adjustment and they are really slow figuring out the problem. So heads up to do a lot of check returns before the season really kicks in since it appears we are testing the program. Let's keep those support people busy. Who knows, they may understand taxes before the season is over. Quote
Janitor Bob Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Posted January 23, 2013 I e-mailed tech support with my issue last night. I received an-email from them this morning requesting that I send them the return in question....I will do so when I get home this evening. At least they replied promptly. Quote
Janitor Bob Posted January 24, 2013 Author Report Posted January 24, 2013 This error was corrected with today's 1040 form update Quote
