Guest Taxed Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Here we go again! TRX is not ready but my clients are. Most of the employers in our area started handing out W2 on Friday. Monday being a holiday my phone is ringing off the hook to see me on Monday and here I am saying no I can't because my software is not ready. Yes they know they can't e-file, but they just want to get it over with on a holiday! I have need had to say no Quote
ed_accountant Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Years of experience should tell you sticking with TRX will be a disaster. Software errors will turn into IRS letters which will be embarrassing and additional work (1040X work) for free. Good luck. Quote
Crank Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Same here, I one guy telling me he wanted to filed his return and do the business (Sch C) later when the IRS forms are ready. Took a while for him to understand that it cant be done without amending the original and they arent two seperate filings ...sheesh ed, thats what Im worried about. I check returns enough the way it is without having to seconds guess the software and then lose customers because something didnt go right ... or the other possiblitites that I rather not think about.
