joanmcq Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 so now my efile for the PIN number has been accepted. So how do I get the PIN? (connection problem was Norton; damn I hate Norton) Quote
GeorgeM Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 (connection problem was Norton; damn I hate Norton) I also never liked Norton, I have used Avast for the past 3 years and have had zero problems. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 I gave up Norton after discovering that they will NOT allow you to uninstall if you don't renew the membership. The old deactivated program just sits there and if you try to remove it from control panel, it errors out and you still have that stupid shield listed! Have you tried AVG? It is pretty good, especially the paid version. Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Joan, the IRS will mail you a letter with the PIN. Lynn Quote
imjulier Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Joan- The PINs may go to your clients. That's how it worked when I did this a few years ago. I also experienced having the PIN application rejected (not by ATX but by the IRS) if any of the company information you used doesn't match the IRS records, including address and company name (to the T). Just be ready for this to happen. But maybe it works differently now. That would be nice. Julie Quote
