Larry Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Are we going to have to add the state forms for our returns? I went into my default return and added the forms for NYS that are commonly used and did a practice return. When I clicked on the state forms it says " not implemented yet". If I add them manually I can use them. I have to be honest I am getting very frustrated with this new software. It looked good when I loaded it on my computer, however now I am very upset with it. Hopefully in April I will have a different feeling. Quote

For some reason the program does not pull in all the required forms for a state based on the input in the client info. page. You have to manually add a form or 2 to get it going. I am hoping it is a glitch that will get fixed soon because, if you remember the Redgear product pulled in all the required forms and you never had to worry if a form or schedule was missing! Quote

I just wanted to get the States in place so everyone would know where to find them. We are actually still getting updates from several states, even the ones who said they were done, go figure. sbm1040 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 I have downloaded the State of Maine but cannot get it to display any forms. Is there a way to print your list of Billing Rates? Quote
GeorgeM Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 WHERE DID YOU PEOPLE DOWNLOAD THE STATES, I CAN NO GET ANY STATES TO SHOW UP NOR CAN I FIND WHERE TO DOWNLOAD THEM. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 They had it open for a few days to download some state updates but then shut it off when users complained that it was not working. See TRX1 message above. I would say at this point don't even try a state return until TRX1 says it is good to go because in my case the forms tree starts looking weird with many TRX thumbnails instead of forms! I have to close the return and then open for the thumbnails to disappear! To download you go to Utilities -> Internet Options -> Download states. I am not sure once it is downloaded, what the update process for states are. TRX1 can you help? Quote
