BulldogTom Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Is ATX MeF compliant and can I e-file a 2011 return out of the software? Today? Thanks Tom Hollister, CA Quote
Guest Taxed Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Is that suppose to be a joke! No one can e-file until 1/22, unless that changes. Did you see those H&R Block commercials telling unsuspecting people that they can get their taxes done as soon as they get their W2. I must have gotten half a dozen calls already. I have another post how to counter the H&R Block confusion. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Just realised you were talking about 2011 and not 2012. I think MeF center is down now and if you must file a 2011 now either file by paper or wait until MeF opens up. I filed a 2011 in Nov around thanksgiving and there were no issues. Sorry about that Tom! Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Taxed is correct. No e-file at all until the IRS releases it for 2012 return. At that point, you should be able to e-file an Mef compliant return. Quote

A QuickAlert will be issued when the system is available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.” The EFC is still accepting the 94X returns and will hold them until we get information that the system is accepting e-files. BulldogTom Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 Does CA Accept E-files from a prior year? Thanks, Tom Hollister, CA Quote
KEYWEST_RICKS Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Have you been able to e file your 2011 return yet? II am assuming this is an Individual return and not a business return. thanks Quote
BulldogTom Posted January 11, 2013 Author Report Posted January 11, 2013 Nope. Can't do it until they open up efile for the season. Tom Hollister, CA Quote
Granny Coral Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Are we able to efile 2012 returns now (April 2014)? Hoping I don't mess things up by attempting to transmitting one to ATX. Quote
