S-Corp Dividends

Is there another way to enter S-corp Dividends on the K-1 other than overriding the Input screen?

The screen does say that you can override. Just wondering if anyone has another method.

S-corp "dividends" are only if the S-corp had retained earnings from being a C-corp and those would be reported on a 1099-Div, not on the k1. S-corp distributions are reported on the 1120S-K1 on line 16d as property distributions.

I agree with Jack. It's a matter of terminology, but it's because of the differences in C corps and S corps.
