TaxCPANY Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Can anyone recommend a non-subscription website containing a simple list of each state's 2011 limit on IRC Sec. 179? My lone subscription to Intelliconnect does not offer this, and I haven't Googled it right, yet. I once had several bookmarks of such things, but a few months of platform crashes & upgrades have left those in archives that it would be slower to spelunk than appeal to this group's always-massive resources, now -- while I'm trying to wrapup my most multistate client's returns. Much thanks in advance, TaxCPANY Quote
rfassett Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 I don't have a list but maybe folks can just identify their own State's rules. PA limits 179 to $25,000 and does not allow bonus depreciation. I have timing differences out the wazzoo. Thank God for depreciation software. Quote
Lion EA Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Today's CCH State Tax Review email, part of my IntelliConnect subscription, includes All States-Income Tax: Chart on States' Treatment of Regular and Bonus Depreciation Under IRC Sec 167 and IRC Sec. 168 Provided http://intelliconnect.cch.com/document-service-webapp/scion/documents/atlas-doc-attach/attachment.PDF?src=file:///apps/WEBS/docs/attach/WKUS-TAL-DOCS-PHC/44/State Regular and Bonus Depreciation chart.pdf&documentTitle=State Regular and Bonus Depreciation chart.PDF Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Lion, I think those who do not subscribe to Intelliconnect will not be able to access the pdf. Lynn Quote
Lion EA Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 OP said he subscribes to IntelliConnect, so I provided him the link. Others should check their own research materials for something similar if they have the same need. (Or, if their research materials are not as thorough, they might want to check out IntelliConnect and other research options at http://www.cchgroup.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_Research-Solutions_10151_-1_10053_50005703 ) Quote
kcjenkins Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 At least part of the information can be found on these sites – http://www.bnasoftware.com/Software_Resource_Center/Tax_Legislation_Updates/Index.asp http://na.sage.com/Sage-Fixed-Assets/state-tax-information Quote
