Form that shows efile was accepted?

Anyone know the number /name of this form? I have a new to efiling client that wants proof.

I don't know of a form. But you can print out the acknowlegement form the ATX program. I've had clients who needed to show a bank their extension and I've printed the Form 4868 with the efile acknowledgment.

Yes, 9325 is the form and I always print that out and send to clients. It is their proof and provides good information about checking on returns that just might maybe forestall a call to me.

I usually send clients the e-file ack from ATX since it has info for ALL jurisdictions. Lately I've added the 9325 as folks trying for a refi need something to show the mortgage people and most banks won't take the ATX ack.

My tax software offers an option to e-mail Form 9325 to all clients that have an e-mail address. The software also includes an e-mail account which I never use to send anything other than the Forms 9325. It would be a lot of extra work if I had to print and send them to every client.

The e-mailed 9325 goes out shortly after the return is accepted.
