FFA/4-H Project

High School student show a project at a few shows and earns enough to file a tax return. This is not supposed to be subject to SE tax so how do I note this in ATX and keep it from completing the SE form?

Put the income, all of it, on line 21, then also put the expenses, as a negative amount, on line 21. Explanation is simply "FFA project sale" on the first line, and "FFA expenses" on the second line.
