kcjenkins Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 Just as good as anyone else's chances!!!! If you do win, please let all of us [your nearest and dearest friends, of course ] know! Quote
ILLMAS Posted March 30, 2012 Author Report Posted March 30, 2012 Add one more chance of winning for me, a client of mine gave me the winning lottery ticket today :) Quote
Eric Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I'm ashamed to admit that I bought a ticket. But honestly, after spending $80 to fill the gas tank, what's another dollar? 1 Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I splurged $5 in the pool here at the firm. 11 of us. Would only be about $13 Million each spendable after taxes. Trying to plan how to lower our lifestyle to accomodate those earnings. If we win, there may be a tax business up for sale.... 1 Quote
Eric Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 Why stop there? It costs less than $2million to buy every possible combination of numbers. About $3.5million if you pay the extra dollar on each ticket to double the jackpot. How many winners could there possibly be? Quote
JohnH Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 As a practical matter, I've always assumed the odds of winning are roughly the same whether you buy a ticket or whether you don't. Quote

How many winners could there possibly be? yeah but according to the news this morning, it would take 28 years to fill out all of the combinations on those fill-in cards Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 yeah but according to the news this morning, it would take 28 years to fill out all of the combinations on those fill-in cards So I guess I need to start now for the next really big pot? Quote
Pacun Posted March 31, 2012 Report Posted March 31, 2012 Each year, I try to pay less taxes. That's my number 1 goal. Why will I go out of my way to pay more in taxes? I guess I am not thinking correctly but I have bought some numbers just in case. Good luck anyone. Quote
