grandmabee Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 I am doing my first PA part year resident return. W-2. Is it normal to have the exact amount of withholding for the tax due? It just seems strange. Quote
rfassett Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Unlike other states, PA is a flat tax rate. Although there are 8 different classes of income which have inpentrable walls (meaning one class loss can not offset another class income), everything at the personal level is taxed at 3.07%. So the withholding should be at exactly 3.07% of the wages. Quote
rfassett Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Oh - and I forgot to say, everything is PA tax is STRANGE. Quote
