bbrownatl Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 I've prepared an 1120S and GA return. Had originally filed an extension. However, now done with prep of the return. When going to efile, it indicates the need to attach the Form 7004 as a PDF attachment. When I'm in the return and go to "E-file" on the top menu, I can select "Attach PDF" but it does not allow me to attach anything. It is sort of grayed out. I've got the 7004 save separately as a PDF. Any insight appreciated. Much thanks. Quote
bbrownatl Posted March 3, 2012 Author Report Posted March 3, 2012 Here I am replying to my own question. Found the answer - just save and go out of the return. Come back in and there it is magically!! Quote
rfassett Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 yep - that is what I have to do. In PA for Corps we have to attach the federal to the state corp and the state S where appicable - which means I am attaching pdf's alot. The first couple of times your issue happened it freaked me out. But now that I know the fix it is no big deal. Actually your issue only happens about half the time. The rest of time, the menu is there. Go figure - I have not yet figured out the why - there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when it does or does not show up. Glad you found the fix. Quote
Randall Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 We can't efile KY business returns yet. Ugh. Quote
Bart Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 We can't efile Missouri business returns yet either. Missouri will accept efiled business returns but ATX won't create them. Quote
Debits and Credits Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 Is there any way to "see" or verify that the pdf is indeed attached to the efile? I have gone through all of the steps of adding the pdf attachment and generated the file for submission... but was expecting to see it listed as a form or attachment on the 1040 EF Info tab... and I see nothing.
