TAXMAN Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 Ok I give up. Where do I imput a 1099-s sale of real esate(not Home)? Nothing on the new form indicates a form 1099-s. :scratch_head: Quote
jasdlm Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 Was it investment property that had depreciable components or simply land? Quote
jainen Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 >>Nothing on the new form indicates a form 1099-s<< Well, the instructions do. Almost identical to the previous year's instructions for Schedule D. Quote
TAXMAN Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Posted February 19, 2012 This was a sale of raw land. No imp or dep. 1099-s shows gross sale but I do not see in ATX program for the new forms for D that shows how or were to enter this 1099-S. Maybe I have overlooked a box somewhere. Quote
MAMalody Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Look across the bottom of the input for Schedule D, there is a tab for sale of residence. You will also need to check the appropriate box at the top of the 8494(?) that goes with it. Quote
MAMalody Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 I couldn't remember how to correct a posting sorry. I was in a hurry and failed remember you were talking raw land. You would use the input tab at the bottom of the Schedule D, I believe. Quote
