I have an XP machine. I just opened a return and added the organizer and it worked fine. I just updated to 12.19.

Did they cancel Halloween and Thanksgiving this year?

Besides price the only other advantage I have noticed is it seems to be faster turning on, getting on the net and loading web pages. I would not recomend it unless all you want to do is get on the web.

I just got a Chromebook and am trying to learn about it. As far as I can tell it has a very basic operating system. Just enough to turn on and get you connected to the internet. Everything it does is online, in the cloud. Your programs are there and your documents are there. I have not yet figured out how to access the hard drive or directory structure if there is one. There is no start button. It is used for surfing the net and playing games there.

Are you on 12.17?

Isn't Export/Import safer (no corrupted backup files) and takes less time?

I have 12.10, 12.11, 12.12, 12.13 and 12.15 if you want/need any of those.

I did not say it would be easy or quick. But you should be able to do it.

Do you have the original CD ATX sent last fall? Couldn't you do a total system removal, load the original CD and then run whichever update you desire?

Windows server 2003, 3 workstations all running xp.

I use ATX in a domain server environment and only had minor problems.

Is the penalty imposed on an indivudual who does not have health coverage? Or just on an employer who does not offer health insurance?

Had a client pick up their return and tell me their broker called them and said their 1099 was being mailed to them. I said that affects your return so why did you come pick it up instead of telling me. She said your office called and said my return was done.

Just like all of you I have more returns to do than I can possible get done. But I am also going to take some time for myself. I have two sons. One lives 3 hours away. He has not been home in a couple of years. He is coming in for the weekend and he, myself and my other son have gotten a very nice hotel room (at Ameristar, jasdlm) and are going to watch the game. I figured it out. There was a button right in front of me that said "attach this file". DUH. 2013 State Due Dates Requirements for filing Extensions.xls

I received a spreadsheet from my BNA rep which lists all states, their filing requirements, due dates and requirements for filing extensions. If this works, I have attached the spreadsheet.

I also have a domain server however I have not had the extent of the problems you have indicated. My system has been slow but usuable all of tax season so far. I finally installed 12.12 and have not noticed any changes in my system.

Thanks for your recomendation. I wil look into that because i am really excited about salesmen calling on me and showing me demos.

Your client really has a tenant that writes two rent checks each month?

Ask to see his last years tax return and see if he got someone to leave the COD income off the return.

Can anyone tell me if 12.11 has fixed the problem of importing K-1 information?
