I would like to add a column for spouse's email. I'm guessing there is no way for the program to automatically populate the field. Am I correct?

I'm preparing an amended return for missed SSA-1099. There is a balance due. Original return was efiled and refund was direct deposit. Can the balance due on the amendment be direct debit from bank account? I see that option on the 1040 EF Info tab, but if selected, how does IRS know the bank info - is it sent as part of the efile transmission (even though it doesn't show on the 1040-X) as it did with the original filing? Thanks

I should know this answer, but I don't - here goes - are the lists that you create included in the EFiled returns?

Probably very boring in the "large" firms where you are "pigeonholed" when you first come out of school vs. the variety of working for a smaller firm. At least that's my experience.

Original return showed a refund of $246. After amendment (on Form IT-540) the tax is increased by $180, so the refund after amendment is showing as $66. How do I get it to show $180 due (there doesn't seem to be a line for previous refunds)? AND I also understand that this amendment must be done by paper - no efiling allowed - your understanding as well? Thanks for your help.

In 2021 software, there was a tab "Main Info" inside the 1040 form where you could customize the main information worksheet

Amendment is being rejected due to IND-941-01 error code (locked SSN for a deceased person) Is the only course of action to paper file the amendment (amending due to a late received Partnership K-1)?

Are you saying that for DocuSign there must be two unique emails if there are two signatures requested?

This is what I’m doing as well. Thought I would explore other options. It seems most individuals are familiar with docusign or authentisign (at least in our area) and thought this may be a simpler solution for those who don’t have a way to scan back to their computer.

Is anyone using the ATX eSign feature? Need some insight into how it works, etc.

Pacun, I have a return that was transmitted 4:25 eastern time yesterday and still showing "Transmitted to EFC". Wondering if ATX is having a problem?

It appears I was a little hasty in declaring victory- client mail slip in landscape is smudging bar code. Not printing clearly. Oh well, that support case is still open.

It appears that re-installing the software has fixed the barcode issue. Thanks to all for your help
