In the hypothetical example I mention earlier, if the employee received 30 shares at $100 a piece, but are worth $150 when they received them. Fast forward to today, these shares are now worth $170 and they sell them, would the 1099B reflect $100 cost basis or $150 and their CG gain is either $50 or $70?

I went through the same thing when I went from Windows XP to Windows 7 using an HP printer, everything printed good, except ATX. HP support said the printer was not the problem, but the software, I ended getting a new HP printer that work great for many years until I destroyed it. In the 12 years I've been in business on my own, I have managed to destroy 5 printers.

Trying to understand this, if an employee receives 30 shares @ $100 a piece worth $150, the employer would report an additional $3,000 as wages in the year received correct? However nothing has to be done until the employee sell them down the road? From reading other people comment, let's say the employee didn't receive a 1099B brokerage statement and they forget to tell us they sold their shares, would the sale appear on their W-2 in the year sold? Scenario: TP is an IL resident and earned federal total wages of $100K, here are the earning by state: CA $4K NY $6K MA $13K WA $2K IL $100K TP will be considered a NR for all the states except IL, here are my questions: If I were to add up the total wages per state, it appears the TP earned $125K, was the IL W-2 prepared incorrect (should of been for $75K)? If I enter the state wages into ATX as reported on the W-2, pretty much everything balances out, however I feel the TP should get a credit for taxes paid to another state on his IL tax return and the state of IL should refund them the taxes on $25K, do you agree? I believe the ATX tech did that already because the 2018 base repair was left on the desktop, but I will try again now, also is there a way to fully uninstall 2019 and start from fresh? ATX uninstall for 2019 leaves many files behind. Thanks

Is there a fix to able to see 2018 to 2019 rollover files? ATX support was not able to get it working, we can see the number of files on the rollover tab, but no client names. Thanks
