Thanks, I like the way you answer to everyone questions, I took a look at Pub 501 and I see no "JOINT" in MFS and the examples they give also doesn't give reference to joint. Based on the examples the a spouse can even claim HOH when the other claims MFS.

TP dependent decided to get married during college and found out it wasn't a good idea, spouse moved to a different state filled her tax return as MFS, now the parent wants to claim the whipper snapper as dependent because of all the college tuition they paid for their son. I just want to make sure this is impossible to do and confirm it with the TP.

Form 8829, I am just concerned the TP will get 10% deduction out of 10k, vs 10% out of $300 for a single window.

TP uses a room (10%), in 2012 they put in windows for the whole house, the cost was significant, since they use a room solely for the home office I am uncertain how to allocate it, to capitalize the windows and apply 10% or find out what was the cost of the window that went into that room? thanks

TP has a contract to buy and delivery pastries to different supermarkets, when pastries get stael he gives them credit, but my question is how do I account for it on Sch C? Add it to COGS or use line 39 "other costs" and report as spoilage? Thanks

TP parents left the country, she take cares of her two siblings, TP lives with a relative that cares for her and her siblings. TP works however she doesn't provide the support, housing or anything. Because of her income the TP qualifies for the earned income, but according to her she cannot provide any of the documents requested on form 8867. Just the simple fact she cannot provide the documents, I am disallowing EIC and TP has no problem either, would someone disagree? Forgot to mention, I have her as single and not head of household. Many many years ago they asked me to take a look at the copier because there was a paper jam, silly me pull out the brand new toner and you can just imagine what happened next. That was the first and last time I ever did that.

LOL after I registered for selective service, I received a free razor and shaving lotion from Gillette, I am not going to lie but the razor lasted me about 19 years until my wife or daughter step on it.

I am going to try the reset, my printer stopped printing because the toner was low, however I never notice any fading like my hp. Update: It did work, I will use this sucker until I get the last dust of toner out of it.

My new brother printer came with a toner for 3000 prints, it's been only a month and I had to replace it this morning. I called Brother and found out that the toner can print up 3000 prints only if you print a couple of lines per page, as you know tax returns are full page, so I only get 2,300 pages out of it

I always find it funny when a client says what do you want, or I had one say to me once let me holla back at you, translation let me call you back when I am not busy, my time is more important than yours.

Hello all, just wondering if someone has a letter they can share to send to clients to remind them to send an amount with their extension, this year I don't want to call anybody any longer to remind them (sent them organizers, follow up emails...), I will send them a letter and let them take care it.
