I agree with email - - but for another reason. You have a copy of what you actually said - - not what they wanted to hear! And, if you are lucky enough, you can also verify that they opened the email. Just sayin - - - - -

When a client starts talking a cell phone - -I immediately stop - - -wait until I get their attention - -tell them to take their time - - BILLABLE HOURS!!!!! Usually works - - - emergencies aside of course.

Jack - - - I have had the same issues - -but mostly the 2 yr olds - - I once had a client bring his new dog - -who growled and went after my teenage daughter - -did I mention I have always worked from home? John - -that was my first thought too - -saw an interview on TV with the parents of 2 children who were NOT hurt - - -they never quite answered the question - - -

I think the real question here is whether or not the money is going to the volunteers. My understanding is that if the money is going towards travel for the volunteers, and not for their time (ie income), then it may be deductible. While you cannot earmark the dollars to go DIRECTLY for "Joe" - -you can donate towards the fund that may choose "Joe" as their representative.

I agree with the Sched CEZ - -it really is easy to figure out.

Karen, I KNOW how you feel - - but, since you have been doing this for 20 yrs - - RTRP exam will be a piece of cake! The last few years - -I DREAD the summer - - -just received yet another email from a client - -IRS wants proof that he was serving overseas - -apparently - -the W-2 code is insufficient???? It seems like we are doing MORE followup work than ever. Hang in there!!!!!

Yes it is Marilyn! I can understand the hesitancy - - I looked for free sample questions to get myself in the mood, and honestly - -I think I was getting a tad lazy - - - Soooooooooooooooooooo if I had NOT passed - -it would have been a slap upside the head wake up call!

Received my IRS certificate yesterday - - -a scant 10 days from taking the exam - -go figure!
