My inclination is to report on Line 21 of 1040 (Under ????) Have been on the phone with IRS for over an hour and still on Hold. Any thoughts on this would be greatly aprredicated.

On the workstation do the mapping. Open the folder and run Netsetup. you should be good to go.

Not in E-services. you may be able to get that from the State it was incorporated.

Goto Print Manager and see if you have "Remember Print Manager Selection for each return" checked.

I would look at 187K forgiven debt. Was that the actual principal or did they also forgive Interest. DevM

Looks like a NY issue. Had the same problem with NY, Called NYS Taxations and they verified that that rerun was submitted and accepted.

J-1 is an OPT Visa where NO SS or Medicare Taxes are to be paid. you are correct in filing 1040-NR.

Here's from ATX site: Tuesday, Feb 15th - Status Report of efile limitations and ack processing We met our maximum capacity of Legacy e-files that the IRS Electronic Tax Administration has established. We were able to send over 225,000 e-files for the 11 AM Drains. We are anticipating that it will take 24 - 48 hours to receive acks from IRS. We have not received all acknowledgments for the e-files that we submitted on Monday, February 14th. Kansas City - 16,000 Outstanding Acks Andover - 25,0000 Outstanging Acks The next opportunity for these return to be acknowledged is today's 11 AM Drains. Depending on the volume of returns being processed by the Service Center, processing could potentially roll over to the 6 PM Drain. As we receive them, we will process and post to your electronic mailboxes. Devm

I do the testing every year so as to not to have any issues when clients come in. It took less than a minute to complete the testing.

I was able to get PTIN without any problems. If you try after 9pm EST it looks to go smooth as there might be less traffic. BTW I got the same PTIN #. Devm

I think if the client is the end user, I agree there is no sales tax but in most states it's called Use Tax (Sales & Use Tax). Devm
