  1. ATX took over the orders from TRX. ATX contacted me to verify my order and stated, when asked, That 1) They would handle all customer support and 2) I would receive all that was included as if I purchased from ATX. TRX, when contacted stated ATX would handle everything and my relationship with TRX basically was over.
  2. Same here. I emailed CS (!), they didn't even say I didn't qualify. They told me where I could buy them. I even posted on the My ATX community, which was a waste of time. BUT, the response was fast! I looked at "My products" and it showed I ordered MAX, but in shipments it showed 2009 ATX PRIEMIER. Note the spelling!
  3. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

    ATX MAX FREE?

:scratch_head: On another tax board, which I cannot mention, so as not to start another us vs them resource book argument, a post from a TRX client: "I'm a long time ATX customer, and switched to TRX this year and have had horrible problems with installation. As I'm trying to install this TRX 2009 software AGAIN I get a call from ATX offering me the Max software free of charge in order to retain me!!! I'm very lerious, but gave her no info and their seems to be no strings attached! Anybody out their know about strings I should be aware of?"

  7. For our tenth, I gave my wife a heart attack. I designed and had two rings made. We took gold from our two families and some "very" small diamonds and worked them into the design. Each ring had five diamonds. Also used her favorite stone and mine and worked in the center of the design, a sapphire, which was the stone for the month we got married. After that, needless to say I kept my mouth shut for our 20th.
  8. "Merry Christmas to all!" "Merry Christmas to all and have a safe holiday. Now let's party!" OK, I've spent enough time trying the red and green thing and I give up. This is the best I can do. MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR AND A SANE TAX SEASON

    Trust

"This lawyer knows what he/r is doing." Make sure the TP follows the lawyer's instructions exactly. I have done five and have always obtained an EIN for each and filed a return each year. In each case, since the TP was/is a good client, I would charge them a small set up fee and then each year, since there was no activity, print out the return and let them file it for no charge. I have had two pass away and I have made up substantially for the few years of "goodwill."
  11. Notice 2010-09 clarifies that, for calendar year 2009, filers of Form 1099-B, Form 1099-S, and certain information on Form 1099-MISC have until February 16, 2010, to report both the information required on these forms and certain other tax information furnished on the same date. THANK YOU IRS

    The Tax Book

"All told, though, this Community Board is the best research resource that we have." I agree 100 percent.

    The Tax Book

Though, I sometimes don't agree with you, I do find your "open skepticism to be deeply rooted in high ethical standards for client service and an indefatigable pursuit of statutory authority." AND, I agree, the politics are, "a common theme that is handled pretty elegantly here." Please stay around during tax season this year!

  15. "The Internal Revenue Service today issued proposed regulations under a new law that will require reporting of basis and other information by stock brokers and mutual fund companies for most stock purchased in 2011 and all stock purchased in 2012 and later years. The reporting will be to investors and the IRS. This additional reporting will be optional for stock purchased prior to these dates."

    Organizer

The new ATX is fine, but it is a check list. Mass printed and no personality. Your's has a more personal feel to it and gives the client clarifications where check lists are just that, a check list. Thanks.

    IntelliConnect

I guess I don't follow what you are asking. When I click on the intelliConnect button, a new browser window opens directly to intelliConnect. On my computer, the new window covers the ATX screen. I can reduce it and toggle back and forth.
  19. Postini is a Google business app: "Hosted security and archiving services for your business Keep your current email infrastructure and add email security and archiving services, powered by Postini. Our suite of services require nothing to install or maintain, so you can focus on strategic activities that drive your business. Email Security Protect your email from spam and set content policies to stay compliant Email Archiving Capture, store, and search messages in a hosted, centralized repository Web Security Stop web-borne spyware and viruses in real-time before they infiltrate your network" Why we got the email is anybody's best guess. Hopefully, this is not a harbinger of things to come from CCH this year.
  20. CTEC, California's tax preparer regulator added a two hour ethics requirement for 2010 registration.

    Runtime error

I also got a run time error. It was "R6025" and the knowledge base had the solution AND it worked.
  24. :bday: No wonder you have done so much for this board. At thirty, you can understand all this techno babble that we (speaking for myself) senile, er, senior citizens can't even begin to understand. Again, thanks and :bday:
  25. Welcome back. Please keep us up on what you find to help us with the confusion.
