Why is he claiming the exclusion on 982? You don't have COD until it written off by lender. So if no 1099-C shouldn't be a 982 but not sure he would qualify for 982 anyway.

I just watched the video on client letter and under printing it shows a "other" where you check how you want the letter to stated will be efiled or has been efiled. Mine doesn't show the "other" to check like on video. Grrrr

has anyone had luck with making the client letter for the state combined letter show that it will be efiled instead of mailed. I do combined letter and am ok with the wording for federal but the state show all the instructions for a mailed state not efiled state and I can't find where to delete and edit. Looked in manual and getting more confused with it. I guess I will be looking a video's tonight instead of taxes.

I have a windows 7 quad core 64 6 gb ram. I haven't really had any problems either. never had a crash. always shows up on roller and efile manger. this year when I check complete is goes disappears now last year I had to move to another tab before it was gone. this year its a little slow on opening a return and opening the program for the first time in the morning. I hope this improves with the updates. My printing works for me. So overall I have been very lucky with my stand alone computer. I am on the 12.7 update and I update outside of the program just because of others suggesting it.

Gosh, I don't even know what SSD is. I am lucky I haven't been having any troubles. yes the returns open a little slower than last year but I can deal with that. I have a quad cord 64 bit windows 7 computer. But I haven't worked on any of my big clients yet. just A, B 2441, EIC etc. No E or C yet

try just going from the efile manager tab to the return manager tab. you have the cilent return is closed right?

Oregon charges for 1065,1120,1120S to file. used to be 10.00 now it minium of 150.00 We also have a licenesing law. Must pass state test, have 30 hrs of education ea year. rules on what you can and can't do. Pay yearly fee for doing taxes and having an office. But that's all I ever known so doesn't seem bad to me. least you don't have someone new setting up on the corner every year. it's a pretty tough test.

I have not had any problems either BUT I have not yet installed 12.5. installed from disc about 20th of January. don't remember if I updated past the disc....... I can't efile yet because of 12.5 but am holding off until I see a better fix coming at least I can work on the files and my clients at this point will wait until next week. But I hope by Tuesday we are up and running. Seems like everyone is having problems after updating to 12.5
