Update 12.12 Anyone installed it yet? It is on the ATX site.
grandmabee replied to Jack from Ohio's topic in General Chat
When are they going to be saying " Atx is working on the fix and will ba available end of April" I am worried when April 15th gets here we won't hear any more from them. we will be on our own..... but wait I think we are have been there for quite a while -
I can't seem to get mine to work. when done it says 0 of 3 exported. is there somewhere that will tell me step by step how to do this. I looked on atx and that is what I followed but I must be missing a step. thanks
-
so there is a difference between export and backup
-
so you are saying we should "export" each file after the efile is accepted to an external hard drive?
-
Yes, I would like to know that also. Each night I back up thru ATX to an external hard drive. I don't use the export feature. I don't even have time to check. I guess I will worry about it after april. Was so looking forward to having some extra time off this summer. I know I will have extra extension this year. program too slow.

Relief Available To Many Extension Requesters Claiming Tax Benefits
grandmabee replied to Elrod's topic in General Chat
But if you are making the payment with the extension then there would not be a non payment penalty anyway. This sound better than it is. Just PR stuff. -
I have fence and deck and was going with 15yr life Does is qualify for 50% special deprec? Yes it does property under 20 yrs

So for those of you who do not use the complete and incomplete checked boxes. How do you sort your return manager? If they all stay there it takes forever to look for a return. Plus I like to see the number go down of how many to do yet Now it shows I have 37 returns complete. I don't know how that figure came to stick
-
so you stil have to run the utility fix the checked boxes? I tried to run it last night but couldn't get it to work

Single owner of S-Corp, how do her personal income taxes get filed?
grandmabee replied to FTS13's topic in General Chat
Is it an s-corp or full corp. If full corp then all taxes should have been paid on the 1120. If a S-corp then she would have a K-1 that would go on her personal return but depending on basis wether loss is deductable. But the w-2 would go on the 1040 WHo did the Corp return? -
So you don't have to pay anything for the use even the efile?
-
Does 12.11 fix the completed box problems? that is driving me nuts I like to look and see how many I have left.
-
I just received an ATX email that says update 12.11 just released to download for improvements etc. Isn't this the one that came out last week or 10 days ago?

Matching vs reality, which one should we follow?
grandmabee replied to Pacun's topic in General Chat
I would show the correct amount of the tax refund and put interest where it goes. -
Matching vs reality, which one should we follow?

I also get 1099 for the interest from the IRS and also from the State. My 1099G is only for tax and then 1099 int for interest. Which state are you talking about? -
client refinance loan of principal residence. no money taken out on refi. Is this still acquisition debt and the Mortgage insurance premium is deductable. I think it is still acquistition debt but the insurance on the 1098 is so high. about 4900. on a 234.000 loan. Do you agree it is deductable? Thanks

>>But she still doesn't own the apt.<< She owns the lease.

I haven't had alot of problems but have been working with smalled returns until now. when I have a return with 2 rentals, A, D, its soooo slooooow going from one box to the next. I won't be able to work like this. I now feel your pain.
-
it won't matter you will get a letter . I am dealing with one now from 2010. I wish the estate's would just put in box 3 instead of 7 then there would be no computer match problem.
-
they needed to take a physical inventory at year end. How you count something that is not there. Did they take out items from purchases for personal use?
-
That is correct. the signature is for permission to e-file the form not file the form itself. How dumb

client has a member of church come live in the house with them in is final months. 4 months in house. my client provides all cost, food, util. etc takes to dr. received 5,000 total for the 4 months. they kept track of his special food cost only. I have the utilities cost for those 4 months I have prorated out expenses it comes to 818 without any deprec. ( it would be for 4 months only) I not sure if I should put on E or just put the 5,000 on line 21 its a one time thing not going to happen again Would like you opinions please

you can just go to the efile tab and do highlight return on manager and then hit release held return. It will just change that one return. no need to go to global preference
