Thank you. VMS uses Cobian for their backup. Their server isn't working yet this morning or at least I am still getting an error.

I'm hoping that they get it fixed right away. I was supposed to get a call today, but didn't receive one. The weather may have been too bad to get it fixed today.

I have been using VMS for backup and service. It looks like I will be changing backup providers very soon. I do like them for service. Their employees are great. Yesterday I decided to check my backups and found that they haven't been done in six days. I called and eventually they found that they had a system wide failure. This is at least the second time that this has happened to me. One of my biggest complaints is that someone somewhere should know if the backups are working or not and let the customers know. It is still not fixed. I'm pretty sure that it is snowing up there, but I would have liked a callback to let me know what is going on. I know that a few of you use them, so you might check and see if your daily backups are being done.

I finally got through today. I gave up yesterday. It was ridiculously slow. It took me almost 10 minutes just to get finished. My bank is less than 2 minutes away. I hope that they get this straightened out for next month.

I just bought the XPS 8100 last week, but haven't set it up yet, because I am swamped.

I finally ended up getting a Dell XPS 8100 with the quad core. I was going to have one built, but I lost faith in the small company that I was going to use when I took my son's computer there to have it fixed and it came back without a sound card that suddenly became defective and was not there to give back to me. I didn't have time to screw around and look for someone to build it. I ordered it from Dell.

I have used Propay for a couple of years, also. I only had two people pay with a card last year and three the prior year.

I received mine today, but I have a new computer on the way, so I think that I will wait to install it on it first.

I know that Coverdell's will change after 12/31/10 unless the law is changed. I have a client that want's to withdraw money for a field trip to D.C. in 2011. I haven't found anything that would allow the trip unless it is required by the school. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Thanks!

Yes, he is looking for an answer that he likes. Unfortunately, he used a large bank for his HSA and they told him that they know nothing about tax laws and to ask me. He just called me back and said that the bank told him that they can give him back him money, because it is in the same tax year. I couldn't find that anywhere, but I'm done messing around with him.

I'm sure that I know the answer to this, but I am stretching for help for my annoying client. He has been driving me crazy for weeks about establishing an HSA for medical bills that he had "coming up". I researched it for him and he finally established one last week with $5,000. Yesterday he called me and explained that he had already incurred the medical expenses in July, he just didn't have any bills yet. I almost climbed through the telephone. Now of course, he wants to take the money back out to pay the bills that will be coming. I told him that he would be penalized. He will have plenty of other medical bills, so the HSA is not a bad thing, he needs the money that he established it with for these bills. I don't see any way out of the penalty, but if anyone else knows s way out for him, please let me know. Thanks! The last few weeks I have done nothing but put out my clients' self made fires. I took a three day vacation, but with my phone, they can always find me. TIA
