I have a client , deceased March 2009, Executor asked if the estate would receive the $250.00 Retiree Credit. I don't know the answer & haven't been able to find one. Sch M instructions, SS web site, & IRS web site do not mention an eligible deceased person. Does anyone know & if so can you direct me to where you found the answer. Thanks for any help!

I believe the client who is digging the pool is hauling the soil to the other individuals property & dumping the soil. So he is paying for a place to dump the soil. It would be a business deduction. As far as a 1099, the receiver of the of the soil is not providing a service, so if they were to issue a 1099 I think it would go on other income.

Yes works great. Thank you !

I have had one client call to let me know they received a call from UC that there would be a corrected UC-1099G. This does seem unusual.

I'm using internet explorer version 8. Yes I beleive it's the same on all of the communities. Erc I didn't mean to create more work for you, not at this time of the year.

There are six tabs. Forums, members, calendar, and myatx all work fine & are in line with each other just above the dark blue border. The google search & donation tabs are raised above the other tabs. Nothing happens when I click on either of them or when I put my cursor on them nothing comes up to say what it is. It's late I hope that made sense.

Speaking of donations, the donation and google search tabs on my ATX Community do not work. Is everyones like this ?

Thanks for responding. I thought of using the UE but its for employee expenses. Maybe I'll try both methods and see what happens.

Since PA took the C-F reconciliation form away, has anyone come up with a way for a partner to take their mileage expense against the RK-1. Last year I used the C-F to make the adjustment. The only way I've come up with, is to use a list for line 4 of the PA 40. Any other ideas?

New version fixed mine also.

If you click on save after you have created the efile it will reject without sending it. I save the 1099 , create the efile, flip to the return manager mark it complete, then make sure you don't click save when you close the file.

Yes the credit is good for 2010.

Is anyone else having any issues with the start up time of the ATX program? Also, today I had to delete my login and create another to be able to get into the program.

The 1099's usually take awhile. I do the 1099's as they come in and send to the recipients. However, I do not submit any 1099's until close to the filing due date. This way if there are any discrepencies between the payer & payees records it can be fixed before I submit them.

To import QB w2 files into ATX I need to convert the QB W2 data to text files. I went threw the conversion process and at the end I get an error : w-2 import-program must be started w/arguments:<destination path> <source filename>. I have contacted tech support and spent 45 minutes on the phone with them. They gave me an incident number but no solution. Does anyone have any ideas?

Open one 6252, then at the top of the page there is a option to add another installment sale.

You don't have to issue a 1099 to a corp. but you can if you want.

I print mailing labels for each of the PA locals in my area. Then give my client an envelope with the correct address for their return.

The items you are listing are on the MyATX site. IntelliConnect is at that site also.

I just saw on the ATX Blog , they are starting to mail thr Archive CD today.

Thanks for all of the replies. My daughter called me 10 minutes ago. She sent the company a certified letter per their instructions to cancel the deal.

Thanks Ed & Jack. This is the way I felt. These young adults are feeling desperate. My son graduated three years ago and had a two good job offers within a month. My daughter is meassuring herself to her brother. Now I need to tactfully convince her to try to cancel the deal, within two days.

Does anyone know how or where to check a company to see if they are legit, or if people have had problems with them? My daughter graduated from college this year and like most other graduates can't find a job. She went to a seminar yesterday given by "Career Development" located at 1163 Gibbsboro Rd , Voorhees , NJ. For $695 paid at the seminar they will teach you to take & pass the civil service test & help you get a government job. Anytime I hear someone say you have to buy it now I have a tendency to walk away. Its sounds like quite a few young people signed up & paid while at this seminar. Any information would be appreciated.

Did you put the price of the house on the top of the form?

Thanks for the reply Jake. I thought I would need to use the W-7 since the children are foreign. So what happens if I paper file the return and write applied for in place of the ITIN/SS/ATIN.
