Yes, it is wrong. If I do a system or data backup on an external hard drive with EaseUS to go; I can access any file on the backup just as if it were on the hard drive. By now most of you know that I use both the jump drive as I go and the system backup at least once a week.

I export each client to a jump drive as I work on it and when it is finished. I can access each and any return from that export. They are all on there by the name I saved them to.

I had one of those TT printouts come in the other night. Actually, she had two years' worth. I cannot believe anyone would be lame enough to print out that many pages. And then there's the guy who didn't print out any and TT wants him to pay for a copy of his last year's return. Hogwash!!!!!

Actually, we all love you. So far I have not had the asset problem. The cold problem, yes; but we are used to and prepared for it. Pile on the blankies and stay warm. I really wanted to retire this morning and it isn't even March yet. At least, we can skip over the ACA returns for the time being and the clients can't blame us.

In many, many cases, they don't get any more back by claiming the exemption.

Mine was a loan modification, clearly spelled out on the first page of the contract. If she had just brought the 1099c in last year, it would have been so much easier.

I still do student children of my clients at no charge....but they STILL go online and do it themselves and blow the exemption. I guess at 18, some of them are smarter than me.

I think that many of us feel that way already. I know that I am having a very teary (teardrops) day today.. Just don't anybody look at me the wrong way. I just want to get in my car and go somewhere, but really have no place that I want to go. How erratic is that? I feel sorry for any one person who calls today to see if their return is done yet!!!!!

Actually the company is 3M. I had a client from MN who passed away year before last at a very young age. However, he had worked at 3M and one year for Christmas he brought me a black tote full of post-its of all different sizes as well as sign-here and several other labels in dispensers. Wow, Jack, maybe I should be using more of that stuff. But, I am like rfassett and I need notes to tell me where my notes are. I have two bins full of undone returns in alphabetical order; now they are just landing on the floor in NO order as they come in. Life is Good!!!!!!

I absolutely hate that. I actually got four returns finished up today that were laying here waiting for information. At this point, I couldn't always remember what piece of information I was waiting for.
