Thank you so much, Laura. I just filed a MN/WI Recipocity NR Return. Keep your fingers crossed. In other words, I filed FED/WI piggyback and MN alone. They all went....so far, so good.

I believe they match the SS with the last name. Hence, the rejection of the e-files for new brides who failed to change their name with SSA. I have also had this in the past. If it got created, the name will not cause it to reject.

I tried efiling a WI Partnership Return this AM and only the Fed came up on that also. I could not find a WI e-file info form so assume that state has to be paper filed. That's what I am doing anyway.

Every day of Tax Season, I feel closer to being one. I say again that they paid for my services for many years. If they want to talk for an hour, I will listen....Did just that this morning. I had previously filed this lady's Wisconsin Homestead. Today, I filed her Fed return to "get her in the loop" She was here for two hours, BUT she brought along returns for her son, her daughter and three of her grandsons. :)

I agree with all of you and, thanks Lydia, for starting this thread. My Seniors are already calling for appointments. They paid me for years.....I owe them all.

Just went to file a return and along with the acks, came acks for all of those old 1099 e-files that have been sitting there forever. My entire e-file manager slate is clean except for the one that I just sent. I had given up looking for that to happen.

It's working now. That happened to me also; but usually that just means that there is trouble with the server, too many people are trying to transmit at once or some such. If you try again about a half hour later it will probably work unless they announce that they are having issues...

We have one in Wausau and according to the letter that I got they are looking to open another one in my end of town (suburban rural)......

Just got my first one back Accepted. Now, holding my breath on the Education Credit.... :unsure:

I updated at least six times today. Then, had a rejection on a 4562. What? Had to go all the way out of the Program and come back in to make the update "take" in that return. I am not messing with the Energy or Tuition Credits any more tonight......lots of time til Thursday at 11 AM..and I am VERY tired.

Eli....it has to have been ACCEPTED by 11:00 am on the 31st or else it will push up from the 8th to the 15th. Check your acceptance date and time in the EFile Manager.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I just created and successfully e-filed one that has been sitting on the shelf. Still waiting for the energy credit. Have several returns that contain both education and energy.

Are you using the 8917 for line 34 or the 8863 for line 49? It makes a difference. I would not try it until the date and time that the IRS says they will be accepting it.

As I have stated many times before, nothing else is available to me at the present time. I live in a small rural pocket that has DSL and Cable all around us; but not available here. We are working on it, but actually, most of the time I am fine with my accelerated dialup. And, Satellite is NOT an option..... :)

Often, if the itemized deductions are not much more than the standard deduction, you do not have to claim the entire state tax refund in the following year. Someone above was correct when they told you to "jump to" the worksheet for line 10. It is definitely NOT the difference between the state tax and the sales tax.

Everyone here knows how you feel. There were years when WI e-file was not ready until nearly Mar 1. I had to do the Fed and file it through the program and go to the WI DOR website and file the state on WI Free File. There were many years when I worked for another Accountant who used ProSeries and there were always problems and holdups. I also have MN returns waiting to file as I have MN clients as well as WI clients who have to file MN because their employers did not follow the reciprocity rules. Many times we have to work around things. We have a long season ahead of us and this is the place to find the fixes and workarounds. Vent if you must and, of course, we all understand.
