Well, I was going to say, "We hate you, Margaret and Bob," but I have since repented of that attitude. LOL. Thanks, that was sweet, and we need your good vibs.

I could use some tickie right now, not gonna lie.

Precipice of total implosion... that's the phrase I have been looking for, thanks.

You are a smart cookie. I know because I was a dumb cookie right before 12.8.

NT Laugh of the Day III When a joke is not a joke....

Cut. Cut. Cut. We are broke. Start with refundable credits. You know, if you're driving on our roads, sending your kids to our schools, paying zero income tax, plus getting an $8,000 "refund"... well, I think we might need to reevaluate who's not paying their fair share... -
Mine remember to sell me Girl Scout cookies but forget to pay me. And it's almost worth waiting til summer to send the bill, cause the kid is selling something else for school fundraiser if I don't.

He did that last year. He's a smart one, that guy.

What is wrong with people?? Told the guy when he dropped off I was busier than a one legged man at a butt kickin contest. "Oh, I'm in no hurry," he says. A couple days ago he had his sister call to see if I had tried to call. He just now came in to see if I had tried to call. What the crap? Generally, when I TRY to call, I am 97% successful at the phone technology. And, if I leave a message, and you don't come get your return, I know to call you again. Why would you let someone do your taxes if you did not have any confidence that they could use a phone? Yes, I know, he was just pushing me. Happens every year. This year is worse. I wonder why.

I am one of those people who bought Drake. Feb 7. Credit card was charged same day. That was efficient. Well, I decided I would just rather clean, take a nap, or eat while ATX was dinking around than struggle to figure out how to use Drake. As someone else said, "It's not my cup of tea." Ultimately, it worked out cause I ordered a computer Jan 30, which got here Feb 19, so now I can roll my chair back and forth between two computers during dinking around periods. And, there is less crashing on the new computer, so yay. Anyhow, Drake got their CD back on Feb 14, and I still don't have a credit on my card on Feb 25. So, it's all relative. That's what I'm taking away from this. And, I spoke too soon cause the program just crashed on Super-Duper Computer. Sigh.

Gee, I wonder. lol

DO NOT uninstall and reinstall if you have a true server network!

I know exactly what the 10 people at your firm are dealing with. I lost 60 with 12.8 and 18 had not been transmitted. I'm the only one here. It sucks. I didn't remove and install, I just downloaded an update. Still sucks regardless of the cause. Just wanted to whine a little. You have my sympathy. -

Yeah, and that would be a shame, cause most of us do not have time to be calling tech support. We have to have the boards to make it. Imagine how long the wait time would be if everybody were calling them. I think I just explained why they haven't shut it down. LOL. Having said that, one person on there did a post "Things that Run Faster than ATX" that cracked me up. Laughed til I cried. https://community.atxinc.com/forums/thread/131883.aspx

This is exactly right, and even though I am doing better with Super-Duper Computer, my other computer met the ATX recommended specs, and I resent having to go through purchasing and changing to a new computer to make something workable.

Got a new HP with the same specs as Maribeth. It has helped a lot. But I am still crashing at times, always the second time I click create e-file, and once in while at other times. But, at least this computer gets back up quicker. I roll my chair over to my old computer to use Peachtree and other programs, they are plenty fast, but ATX is still pokey on that one (XP). I am afraid to download 12.10. 12.8 killed me. I was unable to restore 2012 returns on Pokey to Super-Duper Computer. Tech nerd was right here, and we were able to restore 2009, 2010, 2011 just fine. I am thinking we may not be able to rollover next year, or convert, but like Scarlett, I can't think about that today.

For a minute there, I thought your dog signed the 8879. Wow, I am losing it... Joan, I am so sorry about Fob, that's so sad.

Hope everybody is making it ok. I feel like making a fort out of blankets and coloring. Knocked off at 5:00 to eat supper with my 19 year old. Ahhhhhh... Oops, I meant to put that under General Chat. OK, on second thought, Software Issues is exactly right.

He may be the one that keeps telling people they don't have to file after they reach the magic age of whatever it is. 72? It keeps changing...

Yeah, one of my refundable credit windfall clients called yesterday to ask me whether IRS means 21 days or 21 business days. I'm like, "Uh. I guess they mean 21 days." And I wanted to say, "Why not call them?" I noticed today on the site that they spell it out: 21 days. I didn't call her back. Tired of these.

I would say because the number on Sch E gets there by way of some formula that wasn't long enough to allow for the absence of the Form 8582. I was able to e-file mine with the override, hope you are, too, but if I've learned anything this year, it's that everybody's program has a mind of its own.

I charge $5 per, $25 minimum, and adjust the price up for PITA clients, or clients I don't do bookkeeping for. I am like Ron, I really don't like doing them, I think because the more people are involved, the more potential for aggravation. I have re-mailed one W-2 and two 1099's just this week. People are irresponsible, and the more people you deal with, the more aggravation.

That's a good question, but my accepted returns say "rehang", so I'm sure you'll have to correct an error and resubmit. If you have on error. No clue what rehang means, although I'm sure some of us can would like to hang some people at this point. I have an AL NR return that keeps rejecting and the error it tells me is not an error. I don't know where the problem is, and I am about to the point where I'm gonna have them mail the return. The efficiency of e-file is long gone after two rejects.

Lucy: "My sister-in-law is 89, and she keeps telling me I shouldn't have to file." Me: "Tell her you file so you can get back your $1,112 that you shouldn't have let them withhold. Cause you didn't just fall off the baloney truck, Luce." She bought it hook, line, and sinker.
