  2. Have the corporation set up an accountable plan with the shareholder. Shareholder reports mileage and corporation pays him. Not income to the shareholder but a deduction to the corporation. taxbilly
  3. Got a new client today that had no withholding on her W-2 ($50,000 income). We checked with her and she said she noticed during the year that her direct deposit amount was "kinda high". Wondering what will happen now. I said you'll end up paying penalty and interest. taxbilly

  9. I think that Congressional memebers are tolerant of these situations because many of them themselves have tax problems. They don't live in our world. To them "not paying the correct tax" is merely an error. taxbilly

  17. I think what Eli is saying is that the living parent would qualify for possible EIC but not the deceased parent. The deceased parent would be filed single. taxbilly
