  1. I feel left out because I didn't get any.
  2. Yes, New Jersey, but there was no info for the fed. ATX had no errors for fed. This message came up when i highlighted the return and click on show rejections.
  3. Does anybody know what this code is or where I can find info? Only difference from this year and last year was client had triplets in Dec of 2008. They could really use their refund in a hurry. Thanks
  4. If it is good for my dog why not me? Thanks for the laugh.
  5. I like price that end in zero or five. It is a lot easier for calculations. I also pay my bills by rounding up to the nearest 0 or 5. I need something simple in my life.
  6. Congrats and thanks for your help and wit.
  7. Can I pack my own lunch? Special diet I'll claim. Its funny but I would have probably tossed the whole thing on the floor.
  8. LLC donated a piece of equipment to a local tech school. Where would you write off the donation on a sch c or sch a? I am thinking sch a, but the equipment was used in the LLC. The LLC is a single member. I believe self-employed people can only take the donation on sch a, but is that also true for LLC's? Thanks for any thoughts.
  9. Older than dirt, I guess I am. I remember them all. I have a soda machine that dispenses glass bottles, Coke. 45 rpm records, I still have a bunch and a lot of 78's and 33 1/3. Sometimes I play them on my jukebox. Metal ice cube trays still have them. My son has my wringer wash tub which he uses to wash his oil rags. I remember helping my grandmother with the wash and getting my hand and arm caught in the wringer. Thank God it opened. I remember shuffleboard machines and pinball machines. I have a Gottlief (sp) pinball machine with side action flippers. How old is dirt????
  10. I use the calculator and split as needed. 50-50, 67-33, 80-20 or what ever the ratio may be. I also write myself a note as tohow I split it.
  11. I give them only what they need. I don't give depreciation sheets. Most of my clients never look at it and call me when they need a form. Some of my clients if they don't e-file I have to fold the forms and put them in the proper envelopes after they sign it. Give them everything ATX would print for client copy and my clients would not know what to do with it.
  12. Congrats on making it. I can see the fireworks from here.
  13. Blairstown, New Jersey. There is another town adjourning Blairstown, it is called Hope, New Jersey. So the location of Blairstown is "beyond Hope".
  14. Boy, everybody has something nice to say about their town. I had to really think about mine. 1. Part of the movie Jason was filmed in the center of town at the library. 2. The home of Princess Doe found dead on the road, buried by the locals. 3. 2nd in the state for house fires (son is member of Fire Department). 4. In the area we have street named "Cementary Road", "Shades of Death Road", streams called "the kill" (named after the Paulinson Kill). 5. Very lovely town, when I moved here it had a radio station, airport, railroad, theater. The radio station is now a santation business and the rails on the railroad are gone. People are very friendly and your neighbor can be a mile away. I love it here.
  15. How about a banana daiquiri.
  16. I like my beer on the light side Bud or Coors, but scotch is really good.
  17. Thanks erc for getting the board back. I felt a little lonely but not I feel better knowing my friends are all back.
  18. Just had a client receive 2 separate notices (1 for each of his LLC) to file an Annual Report. Both of these LLC's are disregarded entities. He files a Sch C for each. None of my other LLC (partnerships or disregarded entities) seem to have gotten this notice. The LLC's are not a Corp and has no employees. There is a fee involved for the state of NJ. Client is not happy. I know Corp had to file a CBT with NJ and pay a fee. My research shows that this was changed in 2005. Has anyone else came across this? Does a Sch C filer need to file and pay? Tried to get through to NJ but the line is busy, busy, busy. Thanks for any thoughts.
  19. Most times I find calculus easier then the IRS manuals. (A former math teacher).
  20. Just voted and was looking at the results, Total 16 votes but when I added up the count in brackets it totaled 18. I'm confused and this is early in the tax season.
  21. Thanks. My birthdays are special because it is also my Dad's birthday. He turned 92 today and still is going strong. He helps with the farm, throwing hay bales, mowing, combining, and fixing the tractors with my son. Can't get him to relax.
  22. Save it to desktop that's a great idea. I usually just fumble through till I get it to work. I know and I tell people, "If all else fails read the instructions". Sometimes it is hard to take your own advice.
  23. Go with JRS. Last weekend I changed it using the option block and printed the organizer for my clients. A little pain because you have to check it client, but while I am checking I also see what needs to be printed.
