Yup, I got caught on this one. One policy was supposed to pay for the another policy (taken out in the early 90's). Out of site out of mind. I never got a bill and thought everything was going along nicely. Recently new agent called to go over policies. Boy what a shock, lost both policies and one was an annunity. Insurance company would do nothing to help straigten it out. Although I could pay a few thousand $$$$ to keep one policy.

Just checked my printer Lexmark E310 (an old one) and found I can add any text for a watermark, change font, add color. I knew it had a watermark but I never used it. Now I can be really creative. All the things I learn on this board.... I might even try to attach the rubber stamp for the e-mail (hopefully I'll have better luck than JohnH and it won't fall off.) Better say good night Gracie (that really is dating me).

Received the same type of e-mail as Jack from Ohio got. I e-mailed and asked for a breakdown of the cost. Received that e-mail showing cost, s&h and tax.

It appears as if Sch J is not being e-filed with the return. Just got a cp11 for one of my farmers and called IRS. IRS did not get the SCH J when e-filed. Now I have to amend the return according to IRS. I usually check which sch are e-filed but I must have missed this one. Now I have to check all the other farmers that e-filed to see if sch j made it to the IRS.

I always check last year's state to see if there was a balance due or refund. Sometimes the refund is different than the return (client forgot an estimated payment or the est amount was different than what they told me or interest may have been added).

Thank you taxbilly. Just spent the day with my 92 year old dad at the hospital. Not sure what is wrong so he is being kept for observation and tests.

Just out there and went to the communites, looking to see if any info was available. There was none on either the communities or their home page.

Went to trxalliance.com did not see atx being offered only their own products am I at the wrong site? I still have questions and sent personel message via this form to braeden of trx but still have not heard from him. Would love to save some money but now I am wondering if it is a good deal. I like the idea of saving money. I am not sure if TRX will allow me to have 2 locations. With ATX I could have 3 locations without any problems with licensing. Still reading what everyone is saying and still on the fence. I usual renew early but last year it was Dec when I renewed. Also wondering what Mel is doing. I guess I will keep reading and seeing what others are doing.

Family member has found a job working from home (US) but the company is based in Poland with no US locations. Before he takes the job he needs info about taxes (good idea). For 2009 he would file Fed 1040 but does he file anything for Poland (foreign tax, international return)? His work would be design and then sent to Poland via internet. Does it make a difference in what currency he is paid? He thought he would use pay-pal to collect his pay, I suggested opening an account just to receive pay check and then transfer funds to his regular account (he is concerned about possible scam, I would be also). Any ideas, suggestions, discussion, or links would be helpful. This is my first encounter with foreign money. Boy do I just love the after season questions. Thanks for any advice. Barbara

I start mine in Jan and also use it as a test of the software. Then I wait until April 10th to finish it. In between I add numbers and forms when I get the chance. This year it almost back fired on me because of sickness and personal situations. But next year I will probably do the same. You just can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Called support last night. waited about 10 minutes. Got answer not the one I wanted but an answer. 1041 extensions trying to e-file, kept getting internal error, update program both in the return and in return manager did not solve problem. Support got the fed to go through but not NJ, said they would look into it. The NJ extension has to be mailed. Oh well, at least I found that out on the 13th and not the 15th. Support was helpful.

Yes, Happy Birthday. Every day for the last 2 years have been a happy birthday because of this board and its members. All the help, info, laughs, stress, and sorrow that we have shared as helped me to grow. Thanks cyber friends. Now lets start celebrating on 4/15.

File the extension. It is a CYA. just in case something comes up. Any of my clients not ready to file by 4/15 get an extension.
