It probably stems from the re-evaluation of homes in my area a couple of years ago, when supposed agents came and were talking to you outside while their partner entered your home through another door and robbed you. I don't care whether they have a badge, hand held device, a canvas bag or a letter. They ain't getting in my home. Q 1 What does the badge look like?? You can get one at the amusement park. Q 2 Hand held device aren't there a bunch of them on the market?? (GPS, Blackberry, Ipod, etc...) Q 3 A canvas bag, I got a closet full of them, which one shall I pick?? Q 4 A letter what is it suppose to say?? Anybody got Microsoft Word or Works, or Print Shop?? Come on any half way decent scam artist can create any and all of these. Leave me the questions and I will mail them back to Census Bureau. I am really nasty about giving out private info to someone who knocks on my door, especiailly if they come to the front door which is used only by bill collectors and people wanting hand outs. Sorry to be that way but I don't trust Big Brother. Tom, like your top 10. # 11. They show up in a very low to the ground car and bottom out, then ask if there is another road. I tell them this isn't a road it is a cow path and chuckle.

I don't feel let out now. I received a call from CCH with the same script as Joel. I asked why CCH for support instead of TRX, they just reread the script. Said they only knew what was in the script and that is all they could do. Even if they knew they couldn't say because it is a legal issue. Welcome to the 2010 fun and games tax season. It can only get better, Haha.

Gee I feel left out. I did not get any phone calls or e-mails for CCH. I have received many calls from Drake, Tax slayer, and some other reseller. Purchased ATX through TRX and was positive TRX was doing the support. Oh well here we go with 5 months to tax season, I guess anything can change just to make pre tax and tax season more interesting. Thank God for this board.

In NJ the tax returns asks if the dependents have health insurance check yes or no. I most certainly do not ask for their insurance card. I feel that is not my business which company or how much insurance the client has for their dependents. I am not BIG BROTHER and I wont be. On this due dilgence I am drawing the line to ask only and accept their response. Today you can have coverage and tomorrow be unemployed and no coverage, will we have to amend the return???? Crazy. Sorry this just gets my dander up. Thanks for letting me rant.

Client left a message that he purchased a green car and was told he would get a rebate on his income tax of $1700. My first thoughts were why not a black, red or white car. I wonder if the car is dark green or neon lime green???? Okay I better get serious. Anybody heard of this, if so can you shed some light on it or did the client get confused over the sales tax?

How much time are they going to give us to comply. I'm afraid IRS will state it on 12/31/09 and we will have to comply by 1/1/10 for that tax year. Just some more stuff to make tax season fun. I am not an EA.

I've heard of second opinion but third, fourth.......and I wasn't billed from the insurance company. Way to go.
