  1. And around our house, STINK BUGS!
  2. Look on the bright side--the extensions will keep your tax skills sharp!
  3. Once again, you have passed the pop quiz!
  4. I wonder why Bobbie doesn't seem to like you?
  5. I have so many "to-do after tax season" items, I'm not even sure where to begin. The list is pretty long, but I'm going to start, by getting back in the mix with family and friends. I called my brother last night while driving home. I think he was shocked to hear from me.
  6. Might hit PA. Don't wanna lose "Amish Mafia." We would miss Lebanon Levi! That missle might just cork-screw all over the place. Hopefully boomerang back to NK. Splat!
  7. Christian, still waiting for your pic!
  8. Ok. Thanks. I didn't know this.
  9. What is a "protective claim for refund"?
  10. I'm in.
  11. Ditto
  12. You're a good man. Sometimes we just have to stop and breathe.
  13. I really feel for you. So frustrating.
  14. I think certified mail may be in order for my client's return as well. Am wondering how many clients send their paper returns and/or payment vouchers by certified mail?
  15. Yesterday a referral client dropped in with several unfiled years--including 2009. We prepared the return. Over $5,000 refund! We are under pressure, but were still happy to help them get this refund. Unfortunately, the closed years probably include large lost refunds as well.

Christian, we are all curious. Let's see!
  17. Thanks. I have more questions for the client. Will fill out the insolvency worksheet and see how things shake out. Should put this all in perspective. Not the kind of last minute work I want to get into right now.
  18. Deceased taxpayer rec'd two 1099-C's before death and one 1099-C after. He has two W-2's and his surviving spouse also has a W-2. Any ideas? Is there different treatment for before and after death?
  19. You are all too funny! It feels good to know that I am not the only one scrounging for socks without holes and clothing without dog hair. One year, my husband went out and bought plastic forks, spoons and paper plates!
  20. I agree with Michael. I have not used Form 1127, but looks like it takes time to complete. Depending on what you charge, you may want to calculate the late payment penalty first and compare it to the effort of filling out F1127.
  21. Hey, isn't this supposed to be a FLORIDA TAX MAN spaz-a-thon? WHERE ARE YOU FLORIDA TAX MAN? WE NEED MORE 'COWBELL'!
  22. My friend Dennis Leeking has a company named: Leeking Plumbing
  23. Have you ever opened envelopes with old uncashed checks in them?
  24. I just ate leftover Hamburger Helper cheese something for breakfast. Yummy.
  25. ooops. PA and NJ are reciprocal states. I don't believe your client should pay any PA tax.
