No, but I had a issue with my last return, I had to delete a form and redo it so I could file it. I AM NOW FREE
-
never had that happen
-
So I texted my client and asked him if he could light a fire under his bookkeeper so I could get his return done and that the little bit of information she sent me is totally meaningless. Well I have no idea what he said to her but she called me all P.O'd , going on about how she has known him for 15 and he trust her completely, and what discrepancies did I find...yada yada yada. What the heck!!!! I DON"T NEED THIS! He is getting hit with a BIG PITA fee this year.

I don't file or give a copy of the return till I'm paid
-
I did explain to him once that the IRS will hold him alone responsible for the information on the return. AND yes I think he believes he be able to wiggle out of going to jail by blaming a bimbo and sloppy bookkeeping

So I finally got some detailed financial info today, IN THE FORM OF 20 SCREEN SHOTS. It appears she downloaded the quickbooks MOBAL APP. So she is keeping the books of a co the does 1.1 MILLION in gross sales on a mobile app.

Thank you I needed that very much

I just go that question over the phone. "My daughter want's to know why her refund wasn't the same as last year" I DON"T KNOW I'VE NEVER SEEN HER LAST YEAR RETURN!!!!!!!!!!!! AND WHAT THE HECK MAKES THEM THINK IT SHOULD BE THE SAME EVERY YEAR
-
Thanks Nellie, but it just doesn't work
-
it appears two of my clients did not transfer from 2013 to 2014. Any idea how to do that manually
-
Rita, you sound as tired as I am

I have a T/P that came to me last year to file her 2009-2013 returns. She didn't come in till after April 15th. Her 2010 return had a $6,000 refund. She just got a notice that she misses the three year deadline and will not get her money. Is there any exceptions or sob stories she can give to get her money?
-
I will remind her once the IRS gets the returns interest and penalty will be assessed.

Sleep and more sleep. And a pedi and a mani sound good

I prepared the returns and I can only efile 2012-2014 because I used to use TRX software which is now out of business. If she want's to mail in the other years that is totally up to her.
-
Most years she owed a little and She owed $1,816 for 2009
-
So I got a new client that told me she hasn't filled a return since 2004! She also said she hasn't been contacted by the IRS or anything but wants to file. Now her lowest wage was in 2005 when she had W-2 income of $31,451 and a 1099R code 1 of $6,678 SO WHERE THE HECK IS THE IRS.? I just done get how some people can go so many years like this and other NOT.

Or after you finish the return and print everything out and you tell them what they owe or the size of their refund they say "What about all the money I paid on Medical..." Or "what about all the items I donated to charity" And I say what about it, this is the first your telling me about it.

My wackiest is still the guy that wanted to call the money he spent for food for his fathers funeral money spent for a "Company Picnic" And no taxpayer seems to understand why they cannot deduct principal but only interest, and the principal of the asset they purchased is being depreciated
-
Do you ever get the client that call on the phone for a price, and you ask what tax documents they have. And they so oh all I have is SS and a pension and property taxes and mortgage interest. So you give them a price based on that. Then when they come in the basket full of stuff. They have 5 1099MISC with the amount in box 7. Oh I'm a musician on the side. I purchased all this equipment...amps.... I have travel expenses and advertising.... The 1099R oh about 5 of them also. I was so B/Oed.

what gets me is these are not unusual tax situations we're talking about
-

Your client should hook-up with my clients bookkeeper. She calculate her bosses business income by adding all his bank deposits and deducting all the withdrawals. -
She is a looker
