  1. What operating system are you using and what are we not doing to get the program to work?
  2. I never use the RITA form. Use the OH General City Form. The RITA forms are a waste of space and time.
  3. Not working for me at all. Tried all of the recommendations. Seems to not prevent ATX from kicking out.
  4. Nope. Long and arduous path to get this corrected. It will take months and lots of documents being sent. This is a very strange situation to me. I have never seen the Service have the wrong number. Be certain of the source of all your information, lest you have egg on your face.
  5. ONLY at the time I am using it. Trust me on this. Too many potential issues to roll them all ahead of time.
  6. Did you send an e-mail to tech support?
  7. ATX already does that for the forms.
  8. Is the backhoe all serviced and ready for action?
  9. Yes
  10. By the strictest definition of the rules, if you cannot document that the children live with the parents, you cannot allow them to claim the children. If you do, and there is an issue, guess who will be the second person to pay penalty?
  11. I am not interested in new clients that call and the first thing they ask is: "What do you charge?" I have a drawer full of one hit wonders...
  12. I read that the IRS has extended the delay for refunds of CTC, ACTC, EITC & AOTC until the end of February. I cannot find that notice now. Has anyone else seen this information? Or am I losing it already...?
  13. I use an HP 1050 I bought on Black Friday 2011. Copy, scan, print all in color. I paid $19.95. I have no issues scanning or copying anything with it. However, it does not have a document feeder. Wal-Mart sells the latest version of this printer for about $40. No reason to have scanning or color copying problems. Less is more.
  14. Subject to SE. Should have been reported in box 7 of the 1099-MISC.
  15. It is my decided and experienced professional opinion that: "Any deadlines or enforcement practices threatened by the IRS are a TOTAL comedy show." Anyone with evidence to the contrary, please post it here.
  16. Bottom line... If there is an error on a return with one of these credits, the preparer is to blame. We have all just become unpaid IRS auditors under the threat of penalties.
  17. Ohio is very specific. Driver's License information. No other option other than a person not having a driver's license. Ohio can cross check the database for identity verification.
  18. Fox is NOT tax authority. The IRS cannot pursue collection action on the penalties for not having insurance. This has been in place since the inception of the penalties (tax). Too much paranoia based overthinking way too soon.
  19. Driver's License information is required for ALL Ohio returns in 2016. There is a place to mark if the person does not have a Driver's License. Otherwise, Ohio will reject the return if that information is missing.
  20. We asked all our clients for a copy of their Driver's License. All states. This requirement will grow each year going forward. I know it is a difficult thing to do, but it is currently required for 3 states, requested by 3 more. (s)
  21. There are fields in the filer info tab on Form 1040.
  22. Too much paranoia about something that will take months or years to affect what we do.
  23. Nothing is going to change for at least a year. Just go forward with 2016 as planned.
