  1. I will do my best to educate him....but will not put forth too much effort....I have only been charging him $25.00 for a 1040 EZ form each year...so no great loss
  2. Not if I do boyfriend's taxes!.....which is probably why I will not do boyfriend's taxes
  3. Same here
  4. In The ATX program..under "Option" , "Preferences", "Print", there is a check box to print return address on the left or centered...see if that helps
  5. Cazy Mary normally hangs out at the Rainbow Bar & Grill cuz its within walking distance of the fountains...That is what I've heard...I do not go there because I do not want to die in a bar fight. ...No, my employer did not shut down....they just tell employees to be here if they can get here safely. I am driving an all-wheel drive Subaru Forester, so I had no problems.
  6. Same here....when I installed it, though, an elderly lady walked in my office and threw her teeth at me.....NOT a nice upgarde ATX...NOT nice at all..................wait....that was just Crazy Mary mad cuz I won't do her taxes for a partial box of raisins. ewwww...anybody want some yellow teeth?
  7. I've used Cobian for a few years...I love it!
  8. Check your printer settings...mine (Lexmark E250dn) has an option to either "Spool entire print job before printing" or "Begin printing immediately"....If yours has a similar setting, try changing it and see if that helps.
  9. Baby was his....but baby and girlfriend lived with girlfriends parents.....Sure bet that they will be dependents on parent's return...not his!...As the value of the house and utilities alone would be more than 1/2 of support.

    OH Acks

FYI....I received my Ohio refund today...and still no OH Acks from ATX
  11. I actually had a client call an hour ago.....his girlfriend had a baby last year and girlfriend did not work, so he can claim both girlfriend and baby....why? Because his friends told him so....Now I gotta be the bad guy.....I bet he takes his stuff and heads off to whomever did friends taxes!
  12. HA!!..Nice One!

No allowance for windows and other such energy efficient improvements installed in 2008...was good for 2007 installs..and will be good for 2009 installs...but not 2008.
  14. Oh yes...H & R Scmuck's people will help....help you throw a ton of your money at the green box...then make you feel good cuz they did your taxes for you....people (where I live) are appalled when they discover how inflated H & R's prices are. H & R charges 2-3 times what an individual preparer charges around here! And they make more mistakes!
  15. None here...not even the "N" that they had last year to indicate none.
  16. and not just any peanut butter....that's right...frikkin peanut butter!
  17. I know my nuts...theyre frikkin
  18. Man...It is only mid January and already my butt hurts from sitting and doing taxes.
  19. It is frikkin cold outside....the frikkin bananas are frozen.....I do have some frikkin nuts though!
  20. I will have my OH refund before ATX sends me the OH Ack....wow...that's helpful!
  21. I installed the latest version and a rotund Italian man popped out of my closet and made me pasta....Nice update ATX....very Nice!
  22. I have only had one client who was entitled to the RRC, but they were expecting (and needing) their refund ASAP....direct deposit on Feb 6....Will IRS delay their entire refund or just the $300.00 RRC portion?
  23. I have talked to a few people who used Turbo tax.....The software either missed this or did not prompt the user to enter....I have at least two new clients already.....Most "do-it-yourselfers" (including Al at the body shop and Mitzi at the salon) are missing this potential tax benefit.
  24. Are you serious?....Please tell me this is some kind of joke!

You received this email because you are on the Ohio e-file practitioner email list. As requested from the practitioner community all recipients on this email are notified via bcc This email pertains only to practitioners who use ATX software. All others may disregard this notice. Practitioners, I've received several email from ATX customers who have not received any of their Ohio acknowledgements yet. This is probably a result of the new electronic transmitter identification numbers (ETIN) that the IRS assigned this year. The acknowledgements are posted according to the software's ETIN. Therefore, if the database doesn't have the new ETIN then the acknowledgements will be delayed. Please do not contact ATX directly. I contacted the programmer and hope to hear back from ATX soon. I will notify you once the issue has been resolved. Please contact me if you have questions.
