  1. Hi: There are two of us in the office who prepare returns using ATX. We've been using the program for 14 years now and have always employed the dinosaur method of printing up the drafts and leaving them for the other person to review. This creates an absolute colossal waste of paper. We've decided to network for the first time in order review each other's work on-screen, leaving the printing for the final returns. My question is, what's the optimal way to present the reviewed return to the other preparer. Is there an ability to checkmark correct (or "X" incorrect) entries and also draft notes for corrections? I waited on hold for 38 minutes today and the ATX staffer didn't know, ugh. Thanks, Mike
  2. That Makes Perfect sense. Thanks very much
  3. Hi: We have a firm where there are a number of people, but only 2 of us prepare returns. The firm has a general server with a public network to between all workstations for documents etc, but we want to network the ATX tax program to be shared only between the 2 of us (for preparation and giving access to the other person for review). We don't want anyone else in the firm to be able to access the ATX program. Which of the 3 network install options should we use: (1) Server Only (choose "if you will use this machine only as a server to share client data with workstations"); (2) Workstation Only (choose "if preparing returns on this machine and need to connect to a server to access shared client data); or, (3) Workstation and Server (choose "if preparing returns on this machine and this machine will act as the server to share client data with other workstations). Thanks very much! Mike
